Websites for Teachers
I would be happy to provide a fully developed site for teachers for FREE at the moment.
In return, I'd expect to host your website on my own server-space, for the very reasonable rate of £3 per month. For this I'd start you off with 100Mb to begin with and unlimited bandwidth - many webhosts give you a fixed monthly bandwidth allocation and if your whole class is going to be downloading your files then you'll need a lot of bandwidth! I'd include servicing and minor changes within the monthly charge, too.
Websites for Schools
I have also built a few school sites and would love to build some more.
Due to the likely size and complexity of a school site, however, I would need to be paid for this work - although my fees would be substantially less than most professional web-designers. Importantly, being a teacher myself, I am familiar both with what is needed for a good school site and the problems associatated with the bureaucrats at the Local Authority! Any school site I build would include a content management system (CMS) which would allow your staff to keep the website updated and add their own pictures, news, links, etc.
Other Websites
About half the sites I've built have been for small businesses. Fees would depend on your requirements, but I would consider building small sites for free in return for letting me host the site (for a monthly charge of £5) and, perhaps, a contribution towards some books for my class.
